• Conduct detailed assessments, diagnose mental health conditions when necessary, and evaluate each patient’s status using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) with cultural sensitivity in mind.
• Create customized, evidence-based treatment plans that align with the specific needs and goals of patients, continually assessing their progress and making necessary adjustments.
• Document and maintain comprehensive treatment records digitally, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and department protocols.
• Work collaboratively with patients and their families to develop actionable treatment objectives, enhancing patient safety and symptom management.
• Act as a liaison coordinating referral options and establishing rapport with other treatment providers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide mentoring and education to students and interns, participating in team development activities like peer reviews and clinical discussions led by your clinical supervisor.

This role is particularly focused on individuals and families affected by cancer. You will provide vital outpatient therapy that addresses not only the emotional complexities associated with a cancer diagnosis but also incorporates coping strategies that empower clients to manage their mental health effectively. Your training in culturally adaptive and person-centered practices will be essential in delivering care that resonates with the diverse backgrounds of our patient population.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

While our minimum qualifications include the basic educational and licensing requirements, we prefer candidates who possess:

• Experience in outpatient therapy specifically related to oncology or chronic illness settings.
• Strong competency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a track record of collaborative care approaches.
