What you'll do:

Legal Affairs:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs, vendor agreements, SaaS licensing, data privacy agreements, manufacturing & distribution agreements, customer MSAs)
  • Provide detailed redline edits, risk evaluations, and negotiation strategies
  • Oversee contract administration and lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives
  • Partner with external counsel on corporate matters including financing, IP, employment, and regulatory issues.

Risk & Compliance Oversight:

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and operational risks
  • Develop strategic risk management protocols and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure consistent application of compliance and risk management policies

Strategic Legal Operations:

  • Manage external legal counsel engagements and budget oversight
  • Improve internal processes for contract approvals, vendor onboarding, and compliance tracking
  • Collaborate with finance, HR, engineering, product, and sales teams to implement efficient cross-functional workflows
  • Support company-wide initiatives such as audits, fundraising diligence, procurement processes, and policy rollouts
  • Assist with compliance and risk management, including data privacy, export control, and safety regulations


What we're looking for:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a legal/business operations role, preferably in a startup or growth-stage company
  • Bachelor's degree required; J.D. preferred
  • Strong contract management and negotiation experience
  • Understanding of both software (SaaS, licensing, data privacy) and manufacturing-related legal topics
  • Proven ability to manage projects, drive process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with equity and fundraising transactions
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools like LinkSquares
  • Prior work with international vendors or customers
  • Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include criminal/civil background checks
