Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor - Remote Therapy Position in Maryland

Job Summary

As a remote Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your work will center on helping clients understand their concerns, build coping strategies, and move through personal or emotional challenges with professional support. Sessions are completed through telehealth, allowing you to provide care to Maryland clients from a secure remote workspace.

This role is practical, structured, and client-facing. You will manage therapy sessions, complete documentation, build treatment plans, and provide ongoing support for clients seeking outpatient mental health care.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients virtually for scheduled outpatient counseling sessions
  • Review client concerns, symptoms, goals, and relevant background during intake
  • Build treatment plans that are realistic, clinically appropriate, and easy to track
  • Support clients with issues such as anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, relationship stress, trauma-related concerns, and life changes
  • Keep clinical records organized, current, and compliant with professional standards
  • Reassess client progress and update treatment direction when needed
  • Identify safety concerns and follow required risk assessment procedures
  • Use secure telehealth tools and maintain client confidentiality at all times
  • Participate in care coordination when referrals or outside resources are appropriate

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Active and unrestricted Maryland LCPC license
  • Previous experience providing counseling, psychotherapy, or behavioral health services
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation and treatment planning
