TITLE: Compliance Analyst

LOCATION: Remote with minimal travel requirements.

REPORTS TO: Compliance Supervisors

KEY RELATIONSHIPS AND TEAM:

The Compliance Analyst will work collaboratively and directly with Compliance Supervisors and fellow Compliance Analysts/Attorneys in the reviewing of all assigned submissions. The Credentialing Analyst will also work with the Client Success and Technology teams on customer service tasks, system testing, and more.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a regulator compliance company for third-party, F&I contracts in the auto finance space, the Compliance Analyst holds a key role by reviewing contracts sold to consumers related to vehicle maintenance, service, protection, and waiver products at the request of financial lenders. The Compliance Analyst will review the contract submissions and determine whether to approve or reject the submissions based on a variety of criteria relating to lender requirements for loan funding, federal and state regulations, and consumer protection. The Compliance Analyst will also help identify system and process efficiency improvements and must have a willingness to remain proactive in communicating with fellow Credentialing Analysts/Attorneys and Supervisors.

Specifically, the Compliance Analyst will have responsibility to:

  • Perform contract review for compliance with lender business requirements, federal and state regulations, and consumer protection.
  • Collaborate with fellow Compliance Attorneys/Analysts and Product Supervisors on how to manage new or novel contracts or components in contract submissions.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Finance and Insurance (F&I) products in the automotive industry.
  • Support Client Success team members with customer requests/inquiries related to contract reviews.
  • Create, maintain, and update intra-departmental operational efficiencies (e.g., systems, processes, etc.) as necessary; proactively recommend changes or new templates based on company needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications:

The following knowledge, skills, education, and experiences are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business law, business administration, risk management and insurance or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience with compliance and/or regulatory contract review highly preferred
  • Ability to understand a variety of terms and conditions within legal contracts
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Extremely thorough with a strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all involved parties.
