Job description

Job Summary:
The BSA Advisor is responsible for providing expert guidance and oversight on the organization's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program. This role ensures that the firm adheres to all applicable laws and regulations, identifies and mitigates risks, and supports the development and implementation of effective compliance strategies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The BSA Advisor reviews and analyzes transaction activity to detect potential suspicious activity and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations. This role develops and maintains policies and procedures, conducts risk assessments, and provides recommendations for process improvements. The Advisor collaborates with internal teams to deliver training, supports audits and regulatory examinations, and prepares detailed reports for senior management. Additionally, the Advisor monitors regulatory changes, investigates compliance issues, and participates in special projects to enhance the BSA/AML program.

Minimum Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, audit, or risk management within the financial services industry is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, compliance best practices, and risk assessment methodologies is essential. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills are necessary. Professional certifications such as CAMS or similar are preferred.
