Job description

Scopely is seeking a Senior Director of Product, Performance to join the Slate Development Group and support a high-profile unannounced mobile game project in the US on a hybrid or remote basis (Hybrid in Culver City)!

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

We are developing an ambitious, unannounced AAA mobile game and bringing together a team of passionate game makers to create unforgettable characters and immersive adventures that players will love.

What You'll Do

As Senior Director of Product, Performance, you will lead the team responsible for understanding, managing, and improving the performance and live operations of the game. You will build the operating model that connects business targets, player insights, live operations, experimentation, and cross-functional execution.

  • Lead and develop the Product Performance team, with accountability for business performance, live operations strategy and execution, product growth, and data-informed iteration
  • Own revenue forecasting, KPI targets, performance reporting, and executive business reviews in partnership with the Head of Product and General Manager
  • Set the live operations strategy and oversee execution of the calendar across events, offers, limited-time content, and in-game communications
  • Define the game's learning agenda and partner with Analytics, User Research, and other cross-functional partners to prioritize the analyses and research needed to guide decisions
  • Drive monetization optimization by identifying opportunities, developing hypotheses, and overseeing experimentation and iteration
  • Partner with Roadmap Product Management, Creative, and Production to ensure live-service needs and learnings inform product development
  • Connect in-game performance and live operations with Marketing and Community to drive coordinated growth across the player lifecycle
  • Operate as a senior game leader, influencing product strategy and execution across the broader organization

What We're Looking For

  • Director-level leadership experience on a scaled, top-performing mobile free-to-play game
  • Deep product knowledge and genre experience with character-collection RPGs or adjacent genres
  • Experience leading and developing senior individual contributors or people managers
  • Experience leading live operations strategy and execution, including calendars, events, offers, and in-game communications
  • Experience owning revenue forecasts, KPI targets, performance reporting, and business reviews
  • Experience launching a major game and helping transition it into live operations
  • Strong analytical and financial fluency, with the ability to turn complex player and business signals into clear decisions
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel regularly to support global development and publishing teams

Bonus Points

  • Mandarin proficiency
  • Experience working with an external developer or within a co-development partnership
  • Experience collaborating across Chinese and Western game-development teams
