The Senior Cost Engineer at Gordian acts as a technical authority for construction cost data development. This role leads complex projects, ensures adherence to best practices, and mentors engineers to elevate team capabilities. 
 

Responsibilities: 


- Oversee development and validation of cost data for multiple disciplines, ensuring consistency and accuracy. 
- Lead large-scale updates and enhancements to cost databases and assemblies. 
- Serve as a subject matter expert for construction methods, codes, and cost modeling. 
- Mentor engineers and associate engineers, providing guidance on methodology and quality standards. 
- Collaborate with product teams to align data development with customer needs and market trends. 
- Drive process improvements and contribute to strategic initiatives for data reliability and efficiency. 
 

Additional Agile/ADO Responsibilities: 


- Lead Agile workstreams, facilitate backlog refinement, and ensure sprint goals align with product strategy. 
- Partner with the Product Owner to translate business needs into actionable tasks and provide technical insights for prioritization. 
 

Qualifications: 

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 
- 8+ years of experience in construction estimating or engineering. 
- Proven leadership in managing complex data development projects. 
- Advanced knowledge of construction practices, codes, and cost modeling. 
- Strong communication and mentoring skills. 
- Ability to influence process improvements and strategic decisions.
