Workday Solutions Senior Engineer
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia (Remote)
Employment Type: Permanent
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Integration Solutions Engineer to join our team for a two-year engagement. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure integration solutions that meet business needs. This role requires the ability to work independently in an Eastern Time zone work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, and deploy new and existing Workday integrations using tools such as Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, Orchestration, Extend, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Workday integrations to ensure seamless operation.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and improve existing integration solutions, ensuring they remain scalable and secure.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and support procedures.
  • Ensure all integrations comply with company policies, data privacy regulations, and integration security best practices.
  • Work closely with internal IT teams, Workday functional teams, and third-party vendors on integration projects.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other developers on Workday integration tools.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Workday integrations development is required. Candidates must have experience with Workday Financials.
Technical Skills: Expertise with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, Orchestration, Extend, and APIs is required. Candidates should have hands-on experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, and knowledge of REST and SOAP API integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday certification in Integrations, Studio, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience with Workday HCM and SCM modules.
  • Familiarity with other middleware or integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Previous experience integrating Workday with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
Compensation & Benefits
A compensation package will be provided to eligible employees. The anticipated salary range for this position is $116,000.00 to $167,836.53.
