Job description

Description The Mortgage Loan Advisor works with Senior Loan Officer and Sales Manager to achieve established sales goals and learn different aspects of a loan originator position at Huntington. Responsibilities include the origination of 1-4 family residential mortgage loans, developing both internal and external referral sources to grow their business, and the cross sell of other bank products and to further OCR relationships. The Mortgage Loan Advisor will be required to adhere to all regulatory, quality, and training requirements of a mortgage origination position.

Duties and Responsibilities: Loan Origination: Achieve mortgage loan production goals through the origination of 1-4 residential mortgage loans. Business Development: Conduct business development activities with both internal and external COIs to grow the business. This includes but is not limited to training, coaching, marketing with branches, internal partners, and external COIs.

Pipeline Management/Quality/Customer Service: Work with Sr. MLO, sales manager, and operations team to provide exceptional service to customers and meet closing expectations. Strive to achieve established Huntington criteria for file quality and accuracy.

Provide outstanding customer service and adhere to Huntington customer touchpoints for loan files. Cross Sell: Participate in internal OCR activities to grow customer share of wallet. Work to develop relationships within the CBB and with other partners to ensure all customers financial needs are being addressed.

Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent NMLS Certification 6 months or more related experience in the financial service industry Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or 12-24 months of financial or sales related experience Experience working in, or with, a retail banking office Excellent customer service and communication skills Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) No Workplace Type: Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
