Remote Reverse Mortgage Sales information

What is a remote reverse mortgage sales?

A Remote Reverse Mortgage Sales job involves working from a remote location to help clients understand and obtain reverse mortgages. Professionals in this role educate seniors about the benefits and requirements of reverse mortgages, answer questions, and guide them through the application process. They use phone, email, and video conferencing to connect with clients rather than meeting in person. This job requires strong communication skills, knowledge of mortgage products, and compliance with relevant regulations. Some employers may require licensing or specific training in mortgage lending.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote reverse mortgage sales professional?

To excel in Remote Reverse Mortgage Sales, you need a solid understanding of mortgage products, sales principles, and regulatory compliance, typically backed by a mortgage loan originator license (NMLS). Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, digital document management tools, and secure online communication platforms is essential. Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust with older clients set top performers apart. These skills and qualifications are crucial for effectively guiding clients through complex financial decisions while ensuring compliance and achieving sales targets in a virtual environment.

What are some common challenges faced in a remote reverse mortgage sales role, and how can they be addressed?

One common challenge in remote reverse mortgage sales is building trust and rapport with clients without face-to-face interaction. To address this, successful professionals focus on clear communication, responsiveness, and leveraging video calls to create a personal connection. Additionally, staying organized and self-motivated is important, as remote roles often require managing leads, follow-ups, and documentation independently. Collaborating closely with processors, underwriters, and other team members through virtual platforms ensures a smooth loan process and a positive client experience.

Job description

Lead AI Engineer, Mortgage Automation

About the Company

We're a fast growing mortgage lender using AI to automate the loan lifecycle and modernize the borrower and broker experience.

The Role

We're seeking a Lead AI Engineer to set technical direction for AI powered agents and automation across the mortgage lifecycle, orchestrating workflows using AI workflow tools, MCP, AWS Step Functions, and Lambda across a multi cloud AI stack (OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, Azure). You'll architect solutions, mentor engineers, and partner with business stakeholders to transform traditional mortgage processes into intelligent experiences.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Salary range: $160,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Location: Remote
  • Full time, exempt

Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end design, delivery, and deployment of autonomous and semi autonomous AI agents across the mortgage value chain, setting best practices and technical standards for the team.
  • Architect cloud based process flows and integrations using AI workflow tools, MCP, Step Functions, and Lambda, connecting to platforms like LOS, CRM, and POS.
  • Integrate and fine tune LLMs to automate underwriting processes, including document classification, condition management, and intelligent routing.
  • Reverse engineer legacy systems and undocumented business logic to design agent based replacements.
  • Evaluate new models, frameworks, and third party AI tools, including build versus buy decisions.
  • Perform data analysis on structured and unstructured mortgage data to guide agent design and prioritization.
  • Mentor mid level and junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering standards.
  • Use AI coding tools daily (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, Devin, or equivalent) as a core part of your workflow. Be ready to walk through real examples in the interview.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in AI application development, automation engineering, or full stack cloud engineering, including prior technical leadership.
  • Proven hands on experience with agentic frameworks, LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, or Azure AI/ML services), and AWS Lambda/serverless architecture.
  • Experience with AI workflow orchestration tools, MCP, and evaluating third party AI integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, RESTful APIs, cloud native integrations, and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, Transformers, or similar AI/ML libraries, and SQL/pandas for data analysis.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
  • Mortgage or fintech automation experience a strong plus.

Work Authorization

Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Benefits

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO. Comprehensive benefits package available, see link for details.
