Assurant is seeking a strategic and hands-on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the development and advancement of our safety culture across our U.S. Device Care Centers (DCCs). This is a unique opportunity to build, influence, and scale a high-impact safety program supporting approximately 3,000 employees across large, technology-driven operations in Texas and Tennessee.
This role is ideal for a collaborative safety leader who can balance technical expertise with relationship building, helping operations teams identify risks, improve processes, and embed safety into everyday decision-making.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS strategy, policies, and programs across multiple Device Care Center locations.

  • Partner with operations, HR, security, and business leaders to strengthen safety awareness and drive sustainable cultural change.

  • Utilize findings from third-party assessments, audits, inspections, and risk evaluations to prioritize improvement initiatives.

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.

  • Design and deliver engaging safety training, onboarding, hazard communication, and leadership development programs.

  • Oversee regulatory compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Drive ergonomics initiatives and injury prevention efforts in highly repetitive operational environments.

  • Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activities.

  • Monitor safety metrics, maintain documentation, and communicate performance trends to leadership.

  • Manage and develop an EHS Technician while helping shape the future growth of the EHS function.

  • 5+ years of EHS leadership or management experience.

  • Experience building, implementing, or significantly enhancing safety programs and processes.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk assessments, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience conducting ergonomics assessments and reducing repetitive motion injuries.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

  • Ability to prioritize initiatives, gain buy-in, and drive results in evolving environments.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 certifications and operating within RIOS/R2 certified environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or equivalent certification.

  • OSHA 30 General Industry and/or OSHA 511 certification.

  • Ergonomics certification or advanced ergonomics experience.

  • Program and project management experience across multiple sites.

Location & Travel

  • Preferred location is either our Irving or Lewisville, TX facilities.

  • Regular presence at multiple facilities, typically split between Texas locations, with quarterly travel to Mount Juliet, TN.

Pay Range:

$88,000.00 - $147,000.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
