The Role

As a Sr. Global User Experience Designer, you'll craft consumer journeys and deliver outstanding experiences across digital touchpoints. You'll collaborate with Global & Regional E-Commerce, Digital Product, Brand Creative, and UX Research teams to elevate brand aesthetics and usability. Your expertise will bridge the gap between brand creative and online commerce, designing journeys that extend beyond the screen and into real life.

Your Impact

  • Map and visualize user journeys across all phases and channels (Discovery, Exploration, Consideration, Purchase, Post Purchase & Loyalty Engagement)
  • Translate consumer journey maps into full fidelity wireframes for front end development
  • Facilitate alignment between global UX strategy and regional execution priorities
  • Collaborate with developers, design teams, photographers, and copywriters from concept to completion on digital products
  • Influence global and regional digital product roadmaps with thoughtful UX strategy and design proposals
  • Partner with Global Brand Marketing teams to translate creative for digital engagement
  • Maintain and evolve Brand Design System in Figma, including component creation and global documentation standards
  • Propose and design A/B tests with UX Research
  • Stay updated on UX and digital design trends to inform product roadmap
  • Provide quality assurance on all creative deliverables
  • Deliver clean, annotative designs and prototypes for developer handoff
  • Support Deckers digital growth strategy through special projects and emerging technologies

Who You Are

  • Extensive experience designing in digital tools, with proficiency in Figma (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch)
  • Comfortable working in project management systems (Aha!, JIRA, Asana, Airtable, Workfront)
  • Exemplary communication skills across virtual working tools (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Figma)
  • Strong aptitude for presenting brand creative and translating visual content into engagement with a mobile-first mindset
  • Exposure to UX research tools and ability to translate insights into design proposals
  • Familiarity with direct-to-consumer, omni-channel user experience needs
  • Ability to document journey maps and technical usability guides
  • Skilled in crafting clear, user-friendly copy that aligns with brand voice and enhances usability
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and how elegant UX supports key campaigns
  • Thorough understanding and experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript-based applications
