The Lead Business Analyst drives enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives by identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements, automation solutions, and scalable digital capabilities. This role partners with business and technology stakeholders to modernize operations, optimize workflows, and leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) to enable data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. This role will play a key part in the ongoing rollout and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), including Advanced Warehousing (WMS), across warehouse operations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The position focuses on translating business strategy into automated, integrated solutions across warehouse, procurement, and order management functions, while supporting end-to-end lifecycle delivery from ideation through adoption.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis of current-state business processes and identify opportunities for transformation, standardization, and automation.
  • Design future-state workflows that leverage system capabilities to eliminate manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive automation initiatives across warehouse, procurement, and order-to-cash processes using D365 and integrated technologies.
  • Establish scalable, repeatable process frameworks to support multi-site and multi-warehouse operations.
  • Partner with functional business leaders to align transformation initiatives with business objectives and KPI targets.
Solution Design & Systems Enablement
  • Translate business requirements into system designs, automated workflows, and configuration strategies.
  • Define project scope, objectives, schedule and manage to the project plan
  • Design and implement end-to-end supply chain solutions, including inbound, inventory, fulfillment, and reverse logistics processes.
  • Configure and optimize D365 warehouse and supply chain capabilities, including:
  • Support the rollout and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Advanced Warehousing (WMS) across warehouse locations in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Partner closely with warehouse operations teams to drive adoption of new warehouse processes and functionality.
  • Warehouse workflows, work templates, and location directives
  • Inventory visibility, reservation hierarchies, ATP(Available-to-Promise) rules and cycle count plans
  • Multi-site and inter-warehouse transfer automation
  • Replenishment strategies and system-directed inventory movements
  • Develop standardized process models and system documentation to support consistent execution across the enterprise.
Data, Analytics & Intelligent Operations
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Design and deliver KPI-driven dashboards and operational reporting across warehouse and supply chain functions.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making by improving data quality, governance, and accessibility.
  • Utilize advanced technologies (AI, Automation and IoT devices) to enhance operational visibility and predictive capabilities.
Technology Transformation & Integration
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of automation technologies and system enhancements to modernize operations.
  • Ensure seamless integration between D365 and upstream/downstream systems to support end-to-end process automation.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations, IT, and implementation partners to deliver D365 F&O supply chain initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of digital tools that reduce manual touchpoints and improve transaction accuracy and speed.
  • Partner with IT and security teams to implement secure, scalable, and compliant system architectures.
Program & Change Leadership
  • Lead transformation initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Define scope, objectives, and success metrics for transformation programs.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across operations, IT, finance, and leadership teams.
  • Champion change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and automation capabilities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional implementation activities across multiple warehouse locations during phased rollouts
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish performance management frameworks to monitor the impact of transformation initiatives.
  • Continuously refine processes based on performance data, user feedback, and evolving business needs.
  • Implement inventory optimization strategies, automated cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution processes.
  • Ensure procurement, warehouse, and order management processes operate as an integrated, automated value chain.
Governance, Compliance & Security
  • Design and enforce governance frameworks for process standardization, data integrity, and system usage.
  • Define and maintain role-based access controls aligned with least-privilege and segregation of duties principles.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to validate process adherence, system controls, and operational risks.
Training, Adoption & Enablement
  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on new processes, systems, and automation tools.
  • Create user-centric documentation and enablement materials to support adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to business users during and after transformation initiatives.
  • Identify skill gaps and drive capability-building programs across functional teams.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Energy, distribution, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or utility industry experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and/or Power Platform certifications (MB-330, MB-300, PL-200, etc.) are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience supporting warehouse, supply chain, inventory management, or enterprise operations systems.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), with deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Dynamics 365 Advanced Warehousing (WMS) is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site, multi-warehouse, or multi-country D365 implementations or rollouts is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, procurement, order fulfillment, and supply chain business processes.
  • Experience leading technology projects and partnering with cross-functional business and IT teams.
  • Experience translating business requirements into functional designs, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Experience working with technology partners, implementation consultants, and business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of finance processes including AP, GL, and Inventory.
  • Exposure to AI, analytics, Power BI, IoT, or digital transformation initiatives is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, process improvement, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to influence change, challenge existing processes, and drive operational improvements.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Computer Skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft D365 software solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft Field Services systems is helpful. Experience with Power BI, AI, and Predictive Analytics a plus.
