What is remote research in Ghana?

Remote research in Ghana refers to conducting research activities from a distance, often using digital tools and communication technologies, without being physically present at the research site. This can include online surveys, virtual interviews, data collection through mobile platforms, and remote collaboration with local partners. Remote research is particularly useful for international researchers or organizations who want to study topics in Ghana but cannot travel due to logistical, financial, or safety concerns. It allows for efficient data collection while minimizing costs and maintaining flexibility. However, researchers should be mindful of challenges like internet connectivity, cultural differences, and ensuring ethical research practices.
