Regional Clinical Research Team Lead

Location: East Coast / Onsite
Territory: TBD

We are seeking an experienced Regional Clinical Research Team Lead to provide operational leadership and hands-on clinical research support across multiple research sites. This role is ideal for an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator or Team Lead who enjoys mentoring others, optimizing research operations, and partnering with physicians to build high-performing research programs.

This position is remote based and supports multiple research locations. Travel is a significant component of this role and may be extensive based on staffing needs, enrollment activity, and operational priorities.

What You'll Do

As the Regional Clinical Research Team Lead, you will oversee site-level research operations while serving as a mentor, trainer, and subject matter expert for Clinical Research Coordinators and Research Assistants. You will provide leadership across multiple locations, ensuring high-quality study execution, regulatory compliance, and achievement of enrollment goals.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and provide day-to-day guidance for Clinical Research Coordinators and/or Research Assistants across multiple research sites.

  • Serve as the primary preceptor for new research staff, coordinating onboarding and training in accordance with Panoramic Health Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Coach and develop research staff while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor staff performance related to research quality, compliance, and study execution, providing retraining as needed.

  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately while ensuring study timelines and quality standards are consistently met.

Clinical Research Operations
  • Lead patient recruitment, screening, informed consent, enrollment, study visits, and participant follow-up.

  • Partner with physicians, clinic leadership, referring providers, and the Central Enrollment Team to maximize referrals and enrollment.

  • Develop and implement workflows that improve recruitment, enrollment, and overall study execution.

  • Perform protocol-required procedures, administer questionnaires and study medications as delegated, collect research specimens, and ensure protocol compliance.

  • Complete source documentation, electronic case report forms, and regulatory documentation accurately and within required timelines while adhering to ALCOA principles.

  • Monitor study progress, enrollment performance, and operational metrics, communicating updates to investigators and leadership.

Quality & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure all clinical trials are conducted in accordance with ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, IRB requirements, sponsor protocols, and Panoramic Health Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Review source documentation, regulatory binders, essential study documents, and case report forms for completeness and accuracy.

  • Report adverse events, protocol deviations, and safety events in accordance with sponsor and regulatory requirements.

  • Support Quality Assurance initiatives by monitoring compliance across assigned sites and implementing corrective actions when needed.

  • Maintain research facilities, investigational product accountability, temperature monitoring, equipment calibration, and secure storage of confidential materials.

Program Growth & Regional Support
  • Build collaborative relationships with physicians, practice leadership, clinic staff, and referring providers to support continued growth of the clinical research program.

  • Travel to research sites throughout Florida, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and New York to provide operational leadership, training, and coverage based on business needs.

  • Support sites experiencing staffing transitions, increased enrollment, or operational challenges to ensure continuity of research activities.

  • Establish project priorities, manage competing timelines, and successfully execute multiple studies across several locations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and expand patient access to clinical trials.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the continued success of Panoramic Health's research network.

QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical research experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator or similar role.

  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or supervising research staff.

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, IRB requirements, and clinical research best practices.

  • Experience independently managing clinical trials from study start-up through closeout.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by automobile and air.

Preferred
  • Experience in nephrology, chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis, vascular access, or related therapeutic areas.

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.

  • Medical Assistant Certification.

  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or IATA Certification.

  • ACRP (CCRC) or SOCRA (CCRP) certification.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
