Position Overview

Energy Balance Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. This full-time position focuses on providing specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, with an emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive and trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each client's trauma history and treatment needs.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience; adapt approaches as client needs evolve.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate engaging therapy sessions through telehealth, helping clients process their trauma and develop healthy coping strategies in a supportive atmosphere.
  • Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to create a holistic approach to client care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in high-stress scenarios related to trauma while ensuring ethical standards are upheld.
  • Educate clients and their families on understanding trauma responses and accessing available resources, fostering an inclusive support network.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain informed about the latest research findings and methodologies in trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including PTSD and various dissociative disorders. Your role will involve using tailored therapeutic approaches to foster healing, empowerment, and resilience, helping clients to navigate their recovery journeys effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients authentically and empathetically.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology tools relevant to remote therapy settings.
  • A collaborative mindset, thriving in a multidisciplinary team environment that values diverse perspectives and expertise.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
