Position Overview

Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a remote, full-time capacity. This role offers the unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services to individuals coping with various challenges, including emotional health issues, substance use recovery, and developmental disabilities. Work Environment

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and work-life balance. Candidates can expect to engage in direct telehealth interactions with clients while collaborating with a vibrant, multidisciplinary team of professionals. Though our primary work setting is remote, our out-patient office in Lowell, Massachusetts, serves as a resource for collaboration and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans that include crisis intervention strategies, behavioral guidelines, medication treatment plans, and more.
  • Maintain timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring all clinical records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as recommended by our clinical team to ensure the effectiveness of treatment interventions.
  • Collaborate with various programs to formulate and implement positive behavior support plans that align with each client's individualized care strategy.
  • Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes, showcasing our commitment to maintaining high standards of service excellence.
  • Serve as a pivotal liaison with community partners, service networks, and state agencies, fostering connections to enhance resources for clients.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending relevant conferences, workshops, and statewide meetings to share expertise and learn from others in the field.
  • Promote our organization's mission and values during all client interactions and community engagements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support team objectives and client needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with diverse populations facing emotional and psychological challenges. Our clients include individuals navigating the complexities of substance use recovery, managing developmental disabilities, and those requiring support due to acquired brain injuries. The goal of this position is to implement effective therapeutic strategies that enhance client health and promote sustainable wellness path.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field, which is essential for eligibility in this role.
  • A current, independent LMHC license issued by the state board is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to document clinical records efficiently while preparing related reports accurately.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and provide consistent, coordinated care.
  • Exceptional communication abilities to clearly express ideas and contribute to team discussions.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills based on professional knowledge and experience.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a clinical or community behavioral health setting is highly preferred.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and tools to effectively deliver remote counseling services.
  • Familiarity with substance use treatment modalities and behavioral health interventions.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 86,000 to 103,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
