Position Overview

People's Talk Mental Health Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a remote, full-time position. As an integral member of our community health clinic, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive telehealth services to adolescents and young adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our ideal candidate is licensed as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW-R, bringing both clinical skills and a passion for helping others.

About the Organization

At People's Talk Mental Health Services, we are committed to addressing the mental health crisis affecting young people across the United States. Our clinic operates with a forward-thinking approach to behavioral health that aims to overcome geographical and financial barriers to treatment. We maintain a supportive work environment that prioritizes mental health and well-being for both clients and staff. By leveraging technology, we provide state-of-the-art remote services that enhance access to mental healthcare.

Work Environment

Our remote work setting empowers counselors to provide high-quality care from the comfort of their homes or any location they choose. A robust Operations team handles administrative duties, ensuring clinicians can focus solely on their clients, fostering an efficient and organized work experience. Our culture promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth, supporting a balanced work-life ethos.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct telehealth assessments and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individual and group sessions.
  • Utilize case discussions with fellow clinicians to enhance client care and share insights for improved treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Engage with clients to promote their understanding of mental health challenges and empower them in their recovery process.
  • Facilitate weekly group sessions, providing a safe and structured environment for clients to share experiences and insights.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities, including access to free Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for professional growth.
  • Collaborate with our Admissions and Assessment team to streamline client intake and referral processes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele includes adolescents and young adults who are navigating a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our approach emphasizes relationship-building, with a focus on sustainable healing through individualized and group therapies, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Active licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW-R.
  • Experience or willingness to work with youth populations experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Availability to commit between 12 to 40 hours per week, depending on the chosen employment structure (1099 contract or W2 employment).
Preferred Experience

While we welcome a range of experience levels, candidates with the following will be given preference:

  • Previous clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
  • Experience in group therapy facilitation and individual counseling.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually. Additionally, we provide:

  • Access to free CEUs to support your ongoing educational needs.
  • A flexible remote work environment, allowing you to design your work schedule.
  • Support from a dedicated administrative team to alleviate non-clinical responsibilities.
  • A collaborative environment where professional development is encouraged.
Career Growth Opportunities

People's Talk Mental Health Services values the growth of its clinicians. There are pathways to progress into leadership roles, specialize in specific therapeutic modalities, or take on additional responsibilities within the organization. Our commitment to continuous learning ensures that you remain at the forefront of mental health practices.

Why Join Our Team

Joining People's Talk Mental Health Services means being part of a compassionate community of professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people. With our fully remote work structure, supportive leadership, and emphasis on both clinician and client well-being, you can fulfill your professional aspirations in an environment that champions mental health for all.
