What is a remote relocation consultant?

Remote Relocation Consultants are professionals who assist individuals, families, or employees in moving to a new location, often for work-related reasons, while working remotely themselves. They provide guidance on housing, moving logistics, settling-in services, and local resources, all through virtual means such as video calls, emails, and online platforms. Their goal is to make the relocation process as smooth as possible by handling the details and offering expert advice without needing to be physically present. This role is especially valuable for companies with distributed or international teams, or for clients seeking flexibility and cost savings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote relocation consultant?

To thrive as a Remote Relocation Consultant, you need expertise in relocation processes, strong organizational skills, and often a background in real estate, HR, or global mobility. Familiarity with relocation management software, CRM tools, and virtual communication platforms is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and proactive problem-solving set top performers apart in this role. These abilities are vital for ensuring seamless transitions for clients while managing complex logistics from a remote setting.

What are some common challenges remote relocation consultants face when coordinating moves across different time zones?

Remote Relocation Consultants often navigate the complexity of managing clients and service providers across multiple time zones. This can make scheduling calls, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely responses more challenging. To overcome this, consultants frequently use digital tools for project management and maintain flexible working hours. Developing strong organizational skills and clear communication is key to ensuring smooth transitions for clients, regardless of location.

What is the difference between Remote Relocation Consultant vs Relocation Coordinator?

AspectRemote Relocation Consultant

AspectRelocation Coordinator

The Remote Relocation Consultant and Relocation Coordinator both assist employees with moving processes, but the Consultant typically offers expert advice, personalized plans, and strategic support remotely. The Coordinator manages day-to-day logistics, schedules, and vendor communications on-site or virtually. Both roles require knowledge of relocation policies and excellent communication skills, often sharing certifications like Certified Relocation Professional (CRP). The main difference lies in the scope: Consultants focus on strategic guidance, while Coordinators handle operational tasks.

Your Role...
As the Customer Success & Delivery Consultant for Propellint, a ReSource Pro company, you will be responsible for owning and driving complex insurance technology and transformation initiatives with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. The Consultant defines solution strategies, leads cross-functional delivery, and partners with senior client leadership to shape outcomes, establish best practices, and ensure scalable, business-aligned implementations for Propellint clients.

*All remote positions are based in the United States, and candidates must reside within the U.S. to be eligible for consideration.

In this role, you will...
  • Lead business analysis strategy across large-scale transformation programs, facilitating senior stakeholder workshops to turn client requests into maintainable, best-practice solutions.
  • Establish requirements governance, including traceability, prioritization, and change management, and translate business needs into scalable solution designs aligned with client strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across insurance domains (policy, claims, billing, underwriting), driving scope decisions and mentoring team members on analysis best practices.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex implementations, establishing governance models and leading cross-functional teams, client stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee solution configuration and integration, lead defect triage and root-cause investigation, and direct system testing, UAT, and production readiness.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, serve as the primary escalation point for complex challenges, and drive continuous improvement through delivery metrics and retrospectives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior and executive client stakeholders, leading executive-level communications and shaping long-term transformation roadmaps.
  • Translate technical and operational initiatives into clear business value, building long-term client relationships that support repeat and expanded engagement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor who pushes back on requests that compromise maintainability, and lead value-realization efforts that deliver measurable business benefits.
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert in P&C insurance platforms, guiding solution design and workflow configuration.
  • Ensure system configurations reflect operational workflows and compliance requirements, and recommend data and analytics strategies that enable actionable insights.
  • Drive platform adoption and optimization, including identifying and implementing automation opportunities such as AI agents for technical specifications and routine troubleshooting.

What You Need to be Successful...
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CPCU, AIC, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or a similar insurance or analysis credential preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, consulting, insurance operations, or technology implementation, with hands-on insurance operations experience (claims, underwriting, policy, billing).
  • Proven experience leading complex system implementations.
  • Proven experience in the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of insurance products, processes, and challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Expert-level business analysis and requirements leadership, with a deep understanding of insurance operations and the ability to translate them into automated system workflows.
  • Strong client advisory, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; able to act as the technical bridge between developers and business stakeholders without requiring coding expertise.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical, structured problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives independently and translate strategy into measurable results.
