Role Overview:

The Senior AI/ML Engineer applies deep expertise in machine learning, applied AI, and creative engineering to ship intelligent, product-driven solutions. This role partners with product, design, and engineering teams to turn advanced models and analytics into features that deliver real user value. The ideal candidate is technically curious, rigorous about detail, communicates clearly across disciplines, and thrives on solving hard problems in production settings.

Where You're Located:

Candidates for this role will be based in the United States and work remotely.

Requirements

  • Champion a data-driven and customer-focused culture.
  • Maintain and scale the primary recommendation system for the core product.
  • Maintenance, implementation, and optimization of natural language AI tools including customer service chatbots for multiple brands.
  • Solve complex problems using advanced ML, AI, and mathematical modeling and optimization techniques with involvement in the whole lifecycle, including but not limited to pre-processing, feature engineering, problem formulation, algorithmic selection/evaluation, modeling, hyper-parameter tuning, and model deployment.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to optimize and improve product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies.
  • Design, develop, and implement production-level code. Own the full development cycle: design, development, impact assessment, A/B testing (including interpretation of results), and production deployment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data, advanced analytics, and visualization within Roadpass Digital, ensuring accurate interpretation of core business metrics, data models, and reports.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality data products.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, analytics engineering, or similar highly analytical role.
  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Analytics).
  • Strong experience with Python.
  • Strong experience with AWS services including S3, SageMaker, and Bedrock
  • Strong experience with AI engineering tooling (LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith)
  • Strong experience with RAG systems including vector databases (PGVector)
  • Advanced SQL knowledge to query data warehouses, including knowledge of CTEs and window functions.
  • Expertise in building, deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production.
  • Proven track record leading the development and delivery of advanced, actionable Data Science, Machine Learning / AI products and services, including creating predictive models that serve as a foundation for new product offerings.
  • Ability to identify and assess key opportunity areas where data science can enhance and improve existing products by increasing the efficiency of processes and accuracy of model/analytical results.
  • Strong analytical mind toward breaking down business questions with data answers.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to bring clarity to complexity and communicate customer needs, architectural requirements, and product goals across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate highly complex processes for non-technical audiences.
  • Team player with proven ability to educate team members.
  • Self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with a demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate, and work well with others.
