Job description

Keeley Construction is looking for a Procurement Director to join our team. This person will be responsible for leading and optimizing the company's end-to-end procurement strategy across all company operations. This role oversees sourcing, subcontractor strategy, supplier management, and procurement operations to ensure cost competitiveness, schedule reliability, and risk mitigation across a diverse portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in industrial construction procurement, deep knowledge of self-perform contracting environments, and the ability to drive process discipline, vendor performance, and cross-functional alignment with estimating, 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for Procurement Services across KCG, aligning initiatives with overall company goals and operational priorities.
  • Own and champion standardization efforts related to procurement, metrics across all business units.
  • Oversee enterprise budget management activities and operational support functions.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term forecasting models that support strategic planning, future resource needs, operational scalability, and financial performance objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive enterprise procurement strategies focused on vendor relationships, purchasing efficiencies, material management, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
  • Partner closely with Operations leadership to improve project planning, execution visibility, resource forecasting, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Safety, Quality, and Technology teams to ensure alignment between operational execution and company objectives.
  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of systems, tools, and technologies related to procurement including CMiC and other operational platforms.
  • Build scalable processes and organizational structure that support company growth while improving consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Develop staffing strategies and succession plans to ensure appropriate project services support across all business units.
  • Drive accountability around operational performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to executive leadership regarding operational efficiencies, resource optimization, and procurement strategy.
  • Professionally execute and champion the Keeley Mission Statement and Values.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive procurement experience in construction
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor procurement and fabrication sourcing.
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation expertise.
  • Experience working in a self-perform contractor environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., CMiC, SAP, Oracle, Viewpoint, or similar).
  • Familiarity with open-shop & union labor environments and multi-state operations.
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital projects ($50M+).
