Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and document clientsโ€™ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, developing comprehensive assessment reports.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans, considering the unique circumstances of clients and their families, tailored to address specific challenges and promote recovery.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to cater to different needs.
  • Regularly monitor and review clientsโ€™ progress against their treatment goals, making adjustments as necessary to optimize their path to recovery.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to coordinate effective treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role as a mental health counselor, with a strong track record of patient outcomes and engagement.
  • Expertise in electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR or equivalent platforms.
Preferred Experience
  • A deep understanding of the interactions between psychological, emotional, and physical health conditions, especially concerning addiction and recovery.
  • Experience implementing the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices in clinical practice.
  • Familiarity with the pharmacological aspects of treatment involving medications prescribed by other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
