The Gentle Guidance Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote capacity. Work Environment

In this remote position, you will engage with clients through virtual therapy sessions, ensuring accessibility and comfort for those navigating detox challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional health, followed by the development of tailored treatment plans aimed at supporting their recovery.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions, focusing on therapeutic techniques specific to clients grappling with substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to ensure effective outcomes aligned with their recovery goals.
  • Engage in regular communication and collaboration with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a unified and compassionate approach to care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services in high-stress situations, demonstrating calmness and expertise to de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions and services provided, adhering to regulatory standards and confidentiality requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role at Gentle Guidance, you will primarily work with individuals who are undergoing detoxification from substances. This includes clients with co-occurring mental health disorders, making your contributions integral to their overall treatment and recovery outcomes. You will also provide support for clients adjusting to life changes, including relationship issues and grief, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health care.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • A current and active state license to practice clinical social work (LCSW).
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating effectively with the care team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of professionalism and ethics.
