Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is seeking a Data Analyst that supports the Asset Management department by improving data quality, automating reporting, and delivering clear portfolio insights for a national affordable housing portfolio.  This role develops dashboards, reports, and analysis tools; consolidates data from multiple systems; supports financial and portfolio analysis; and prepares recurring reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Location: Remote 

Pay Range: $34.13/hr-$37.88/hr based on experience

What You Bring (Requirements)

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, data analytics, or a related field preferred.

• Three (3) years of relevant experience preferred, ideally in multi-family asset management, property management, affordable housing, real estate finance, or data analytics.

• Affordable housing experience, including HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, or PRAC programs, is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Strong skills in Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau; experience with Power Query, pivot models, macros/VBA, SQL, or similar tools preferred.

• Ability to integrate, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems; experience with MRI, RealPage, Yardi, or similar software preferred.

• Financial modeling and real estate transaction analysis experience preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours.  Ability to travel is required.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Reporting, Data Management and Analysis:

• Analyze budget-to-actual results, key performance indicators, cash flow projections, and portfolio trends; identify variances, risks, and opportunities for Asset Managers.

• Support annual operating and capital budgeting, replacement reserve reimbursement requests, and other capital funding processes.

• Research and summarize market, leasing, demographic, financial, and property information to support portfolio decision-making.

• Assist with financial modeling, scenario analysis, due diligence, and documentation requests for acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and recapitalizations.

• Prepare portfolio analytics, including financing profiles, maturity schedules, and performance segmentation, to support transaction and portfolio planning.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports for senior management, the Board, investors, lenders, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

• Provide documentation and analysis to support affiliate-level reporting, watchlist summaries, compliance reporting, and special projects.

• Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
