This is a fast-paced position ideal for someone who thrives on breaking entertainment news as it happens, with a focus on delivering timely, accurate, and engaging stories in the movie and television space. You’ll play a key role in keeping our audience informed during crucial evening hours, ensuring we never miss a beat in the 24/7 entertainment news cycle
Your Responsibilities
- Self-publish news articles daily across movie and television verticals
- Monitor trending news cycles, including casting announcements, trailers, release dates, renewals/cancellations, and celebrity updates
- Ensure timely publication of relevant content aligned with SEO and engagement goals
- Coordinate with editors and fellow writers to maintain consistent daily coverage
- Contribute to news ideation, sourcing, and scheduling
- Follow editorial and formatting guidelines rigorously
- Available weekday mornings, ideally 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST (weekend availability is a plus)
- Available during Pacific Standard Time evening hours for breaking news and coverage needs (weekday availability required; weekend availability is a plus)
