Remote Real Estate Instructor information

What is a remote real estate instructor?

Remote Real Estate Instructors are professionals who teach real estate courses and prepare students for licensing exams through online platforms. They deliver educational content, explain real estate concepts, and provide guidance to students via video conferencing, webinars, or learning management systems. Remote instructors often create lesson plans, grade assignments, and answer student questions, all while working from a remote location. This role requires knowledge of real estate laws and practices as well as strong communication and teaching skills.

How does a remote real estate instructor engage and support students in a virtual learning environment?

Remote Real Estate Instructors often utilize a variety of online tools and platforms to deliver course content, facilitate discussions, and monitor student progress. They may lead live webinars, create interactive assignments, and provide timely feedback through email or learning management systems. Building a sense of community can be challenging, so instructors frequently encourage participation through group projects and virtual office hours. Collaboration with curriculum developers and technical support teams is also common to ensure smooth course delivery and address any student concerns.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote real estate instructor?

To thrive as a Remote Real Estate Instructor, you need a strong background in real estate, a valid teaching license or real estate certification, and experience in both the industry and education. Familiarity with online learning platforms (such as Zoom or Blackboard), digital course creation tools, and state-specific real estate regulations is typically required. Outstanding communication, adaptability, and the ability to engage and motivate students remotely are crucial soft skills. These competencies ensure effective teaching, regulatory compliance, and successful knowledge transfer in a virtual educational environment.

What is the difference between Remote Real Estate Instructor vs Real Estate Agent?

AspectRemote Real Estate InstructorReal Estate Agent

Work EnvironmentOnline or classroom teaching, training sessionsIn-person or virtual property transactions
Employer & Industry UsageEducational institutions, online platforms, real estate schoolsReal estate brokerages, independent practice

While both roles require a real estate license, a Remote Real Estate Instructor primarily focuses on educating aspiring agents or students through online or in-person classes, whereas a Real Estate Agent actively engages in property transactions. The instructor role emphasizes teaching skills and industry knowledge, often working for educational institutions, while agents work directly with clients to buy or sell properties.

Real Estate Law Clerk

Andary Carnevale Karry & Laba LLP

Windsor, ON โ€ข On-site, Remote

Full-time

This job post hasย expired 1 day ago.ย Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

The opportunity

Our real estate practice is busy and growing, and we are looking for a real estate law clerk who can take a file from the day it opens to the reporting letter. If you have run residential purchase, sale and refinance files in an Ontario firm and you are at home in Teraview and LDD, you already know what this job is. You will work directly with the lawyers, with their support on the legal issues and the trust to run your files your way.

We are prepared to pay above market rate for the right person.

Who we are

Andary Carnevale Karry & Laba LLP is a full-service firm with offices in Kingsville and Windsor, formed from two long-standing Essex County practices: Karry & Laba, serving Kingsville and the county for more than 40 years, and Carnevale Law Office, founded in 1985. Our lawyers practise real estate, corporate/commercial, wills and estates, family, civil litigation, employment and criminal law for businesses, professionals, families and individuals across Windsorโ€“Essex. We are a small firm by design โ€” close to our clients, close to each other, and practical about how we get things done.

What you'll be doing

  • Running residential purchase, sale and refinance files from opening to reporting
  • Title searches and sub-searches in Teraview, off-title and execution searches, and requisition letters and responses
  • Preparing closing documents in LDD, statements of adjustments, land transfer tax and HST calculations, and mortgage documents
  • Working with lenders โ€” instructions, lender portals, title insurance orders and reporting
  • Coordinating closing day: funds, registrations, undertakings and keys, in step with the other side, the clients and the agents
  • Preparing reporting letters and closing out files
  • Helping on commercial, farm and vacant-land transactions, leases and refinancings as they come up
  • Communicating with clients, real estate agents, lenders, other law firms and municipalities, and keeping files moving

What we're looking for

  • Real estate clerk experience in an Ontario law firm โ€” enough to run a residential file confidently on your own; we care about competence, not a number of years
  • Exceptional organization skills are a must.
  • Working knowledge of Teraview and LDD (or a similar closing platform), lender portals and title insurance ordering
  • Comfortable with statements of adjustments, land transfer tax and HST, and the basics of trust accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Careful, organized and calm on a busy closing day, with clear, friendly communication with clients and agents
  • Discretion and a professional manner
  • Law Clerk diploma or ILCO designation an asset; commercial or estates experience a bonus

Location, schedule and pay

Based in our Kingsville branch, with the option of working from our Windsor branch and some flexibility for remote work once you are settled in. Compensation will be above market rate for the right candidate and will reflect your experience and capabilities in other areas of law โ€” we are happy to discuss it openly from the first conversation.
