The Mid-Level Full Stack Developer supports the design, development, testing, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise business applications within a modern cloud-based environment. Working under the direction of the Senior Lead Developer and Technical Lead, this position develops secure, scalable software solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies, modern web frameworks, cloud services, and Agile development practices.
The successful candidate will support application modernization efforts while maintaining existing production systems and participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC.
Application Development
  • Develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise web applications.
  • Build responsive user interfaces using React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Develop backend services using Python and C#/.NET.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  • Participate in modernization of legacy applications.

Database Development
  • Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
  • Support SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Assist with data migration and performance optimization activities.

Cloud & DevOps
  • Support application deployment within Microsoft Azure.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline execution and release activities.
  • Utilize Git and Azure DevOps for source control and work management.
  • Support automated testing and deployment activities.

Operations & Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot software defects and production issues.
  • Perform software enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Support system documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

Security & Quality
  • Develop software in accordance with secure coding standards.
  • Support application security testing and vulnerability remediation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience developing applications using C#/.NET and/or Python.
  • Experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
  • Experience using Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working within Agile software development teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 2 (Moderate Risk) Background Investigation.
