What is a remote React developer?

A Remote React Developer is a software engineer who specializes in building user interfaces and web applications using the React.js library, while working from a location outside of a traditional office setting. Their primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining front-end components to create seamless and interactive user experiences. These developers collaborate with teams using remote tools, manage code through version control systems like Git, and ensure responsiveness and performance across devices. Working remotely allows them to contribute to projects from virtually anywhere, promoting flexibility and access to global job opportunities.

What does a remote React developer do?

As a remote React developer, your job is to code web-based software, applications, and other programming elements for your client. In this work from home role, you may plan the development of software, oversee data modeling, solve technical, performance, or scalability challenges as they present themselves, and help define and ensure compliance to software engineering standards. You may frequently develop complex web applications, maintain and enhance automated software deployment pipelines, and work in a fast-paced agile environment to collaborate with other developers as needed. Most remote React developers work as part of a larger team, but you may work independently if you are hired by a smaller company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote React developer, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote React Developer, you need strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, front-end frameworks, and a solid understanding of web development principles, typically supported by a relevant degree or practical experience. Familiarity with tools like Git, RESTful APIs, npm, and popular state management libraries (such as Redux) is crucial, and certifications in front-end technologies can be advantageous. Strong communication, self-motivation, and time management skills help remote developers collaborate effectively and meet deadlines. These skills and qualities ensure you can deliver high-quality, scalable applications while thriving in a virtual team environment.

How does a remote React developer typically collaborate with team members and stay aligned on project goals?

As a Remote React Developer, collaboration is often managed through a combination of daily standups, regular video meetings, and the use of tools like Slack, Jira, and GitHub. Clear communication and proactive status updates are essential for staying aligned, especially when working across different time zones. You’ll frequently coordinate with backend developers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and a shared vision for user interfaces. Embracing version control best practices and participating in code reviews are also key to maintaining code quality and consistency.

What is the difference between Remote React Developer vs Remote Front-End Developer?

AspectRemote React DeveloperRemote Front-End Developer
Required SkillsProficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSSProficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
Work EnvironmentTypically focused on React-based projects, often in tech companies or startupsBroader front-end projects across various frameworks and industries
Common UsageSpecialized role for React applicationsGeneral role for all front-end development tasks

Remote React Developers focus specifically on building applications with React, requiring expertise in React and related tools. Remote Front-End Developers have a broader scope, working with multiple frameworks and technologies. Both roles often work remotely in tech industries, but React Developers are more specialized in React-based projects.

Is ReactJS still in demand?

ReactJS remains highly in demand for front-end development, with many companies adopting it for building dynamic user interfaces. React developers are sought after due to its widespread use, strong community support, and compatibility with modern tools like Redux and TypeScript.

What is the salary of a remote React developer?

The salary of a remote React developer typically ranges from $70,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and company size. Position Summary

As an AI Solutions Engineer on the Security Operations and Compliance (ETOSOC) team within Enterprise Security Operations, you will build, automate, and modernize enterprise infrastructure solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ETOSOC team sits at the intersection of platform engineering, cloud operations, security compliance, and emerging AI technologies, ensuring critical systems remain resilient, secure, and operational at scale. In this role, you will design and deploy AI-enabled solutions-such as internal virtual assistants, automated compliance verification, and Copilot-driven development practices-while building automation tooling across AWS, Azure, Linux, Windows, and modern web frameworks (React/FastAPI).

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions, platform automations, and software applications to streamline workflows and address complex infrastructure challenges with an emphasis on responsible use of AI
  • Use enterprise-approved AI tools to automate vulnerability remediation, patch compliance monitoring, and operational governance across enterprise scale
  • Evaluate emerging AI technology trends and platform capabilities to inform solution design, application architecture, and strategic engineering innovation
  • Build, modernize, and maintain full-stack web applications and backend APIs using React, FastAPI, and Python to support developer productivity and infrastructure operations
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tooling using Terraform, Chef, and GitHub to automate server deployments and cloud resource provisioning
  • Collaborate closely with security, platform engineering, cloud operations, and compliance teams to translate complex security standards into automated verification and operational workflows

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of professional software engineering experience using languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#
  • 1 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and infrastructure deployment tooling (e.g., Terraform, Chef, or Ansible)
  • 1 years of experience developing RESTful APIs and web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, React, Node.js, or Django)
  • 1 years of experience using standard software engineering practices, Git version control, and automated CI/CD deployment pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • 1 years of experience designing, building, and deploying AI/ML integrations, internal AI assistants, or intelligent enterprise automations in production environments
  • Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and LLM application frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI APIs)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation, patch management, or compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST controls)
  • Experience integrating application data with enterprise CMDBs, monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace), and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Experience working across multi-OS environments, including Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server infrastructure
