Remote Rdi information

How do Remote Registered Dietitians (RDNs) effectively build rapport and trust with clients despite working virtually?

Remote Registered Dietitians (RDNs) can successfully foster strong client relationships by utilizing secure video platforms for face-to-face interaction, practicing active listening, and maintaining clear, empathetic communication. Building trust often involves regular follow-ups, personalized nutrition plans, and being readily available to answer questions through digital channels. Many RDNs find that creating structured virtual sessions and using digital resources, like meal-tracking apps, helps clients feel supported and engaged even at a distance. These strategies are essential for overcoming the challenges of not being physically present and ensuring clients remain motivated and accountable.

What are Remote RDIs?

Remote RDIs, or Remote Registered Dietitian Integrators, are licensed nutrition professionals who provide dietary counseling and nutrition services remotely, often through telehealth platforms. They assess clients’ nutritional needs, develop personalized meal plans, and offer ongoing support for health and wellness goals. Remote RDIs can work with individuals, groups, or organizations, making nutrition guidance more accessible regardless of location. Their services are especially valuable for clients who may have limited access to in-person care or need flexible scheduling options.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Registered Dietitian (RD), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Registered Dietitian, you need a solid background in nutrition science, a bachelor's degree in dietetics or a related field, and a valid RD credential. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, nutrition analysis software, and electronic health records is typically required. Strong communication, self-management, and empathy are essential soft skills for building trust and motivating clients in a virtual environment. These skills ensure effective patient care, compliance with regulations, and the ability to deliver personalized nutrition guidance remotely.

We work hard to ensure that our values permeate the company and are reflected in everything we do. Whether it be in setting priorities, defining ideas, or carrying out processes, we are committed to ensuring that our values are manifested at all levels of our organization.

The Impact You'll Make

As a Senior RPG Programmer/Analyst, you will lead the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of business-critical IBM i applications. You are architecting solutions that help our clients bridge the gap between legacy reliability and modern efficiency - not just writing code.

You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, providing our clients with consulting services in support of their business applications systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Consult & Collaborate: Support our clients in resolving application issues, identify business needs, and deliver solutions throughout the full project life cycle.
  • Architect & Develop: Analyze, design, code, and test software applications using all versions of RPG and SQL.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Ensure program and application integrity through various testing phases (Unit, Integration, Smoke, etc.).
  • Document and Communicate: Translate system architecture into clear textual and visual documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Quality Leadership: Capable of leading a small technical team when required. Lead code reviews for database and logic changes.
  • Modernize: Support our clients to transform legacy business applications into modern, scalable ILE applications.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Expertise: 20+ years of proven experience with the IBM i (iSeries/AS/400) platform.
  • Advanced RPG: Mastery of various forms of RPG (especially RPGLE, including Free-form syntax and embedded SQL).
  • Database Depth: Expert-level DB2 application programming and database design.
  • Modern Concepts: Deep understanding of ILE concepts (Modules, Service Programs, Binding Directories)
  • Change Management: Experience navigating structured deployment and version control processes.
  • Communication: Capable of verbal and written communication with various levels of client personnel. The ability to explain technical "why" to stakeholders in business terms and "how" to developers in technical terms.

Nice to Have

  • Application Packages: Experience with major IBM I ERP systems (Infor LX, BPCS, Infor XA, MAPICS, PRMS, JDE, Frontier, HFA, etc.)
  • Applications: Distribution, Manufacturing, Finance, Insurance.
  • Tooling: Experience with RDi (Rational Developer for i) or Eclipse-based IDEs.
  • Modern DevOps: Familiarity with Git or SVN in an IBM i environment.
  • Analysis: Experience with Impact Analysis tools.
  • Integrations: Experience with integration solutions using APIs, JSON, XML and other integration tools such as GoAnywhere.

Ready to Transform the Industry?

We are looking for motivated, creative thinkers who thrive in fast-paced environments. If you're committed to excellence and want to work with the best in the IBM i space, we want to hear from you.
