Position Summary

Meridian Therapy Group is seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Counselor with addiction

treatment experience to provide high-quality virtual outpatient psychotherapy to adults with

primary mental health, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. The

counselor will deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy through a secure

telehealth platform while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to promote

recovery, symptom stabilization, and long-term wellness.

This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about delivering accessible, patient-

centered care in a fully remote environment while maintaining the highest standards of

clinical excellence, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Position Type: Full-Time, W-2

Work Location: Fully Remote (Indiana Residents Preferred)

Compensation: Up to $72,500 annually, based on licensure, experience, and

qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Active Indiana clinical license in good standing (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, HSPP, or

equivalent independently licensed behavioral health professional).

Current addiction credential required (LAC, LCAC, CADAC, ICAADC, or other

Indiana-recognized addiction certification or licensure).

Minimum of two years of behavioral health or substance use disorder counseling

experience preferred.

Experience treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use

disorders.

Experience providing telehealth services preferred.

Knowledge of ASAM Criteria, DSM-5-TR, motivational interviewing, cognitive

behavioral therapy, and relapse prevention principles.

Proficient with electronic health records and telehealth technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, and family counseling services through a HIPAA-compliant

telehealth platform.

Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and establish behavioral

health diagnoses within professional scope of practice.

Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.

Conduct ongoing treatment plan reviews and revise plans based on clinical progress.

Complete timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation for all services

rendered.

Monitor consumer progress and continued medical necessity throughout treatment.

Conduct suicide risk, violence risk, and substance use assessments as clinically

indicated.

Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referral to higher levels of care when

necessary.

Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, hospitals, probation

officers, family members, and other treatment providers when authorized.

Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

(CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed interventions, Motivational

Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, relapse prevention, psychoeducation,

and trauma-informed care.

Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups for both mental health and

substance use disorder populations.

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical supervision as

required.

Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations, payer requirements,

professional ethics, and organizational policies.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
