Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate parent support groups, creating therapeutic environments that encourage open dialogue and community support.
• Provide targeted training for parents of children with mental health needs, specifically addressing complex parenting challenges and issues surrounding the adoption of prenatally substance-exposed children.
• Conduct temperament counseling for parents, equipping them with skills to foster a nurturing home environment.
• Perform comprehensive developmental evaluations of children, utilizing evidence-based practices and tools to assess developmental progress.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided, adhering to organizational policies and industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will work closely with families affected by a range of mental health issues, including substance use disorders, parenting complexities, and behavioral challenges experienced by children. We prioritize a compassionate, non-judgmental approach that helps clients feel safe and empowered, ultimately enhancing their capacity for recovery and healthy family dynamics.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW).

• Strong background in parent-child intervention, child development, and understanding of issues related to child abuse and neglect.
