Job description

Location: Northern Virginia or Denver, CO (Hybrid)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Employment Type: Full-time, contingent upon contract award

Overview

We are seeking a senior-level intelligence professional who understands the operational architecture supporting the Defense Space and Missile Analysis Center (DEFSMAC) mission.

This role is not focused on writing intelligence products. It is focused on understanding how intelligence is ingested, fused, disseminated, and translated into operational decision-making across the space and missile defense enterprise.

The ideal candidate knows how reports move through the system, how tools are used, where bottlenecks exist, and how commanders actually consume information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and advise on the intelligence architecture supporting DEFSMAC mission operations

  • Assess how intelligence reporting is ingested, fused, stored, and disseminated

  • Evaluate workflows from collection through decision execution

  • Identify integration gaps between intelligence systems and operational systems

  • Support leadership in improving data flow, tool utilization, and decision timelines

  • Coordinate with mission operators, intelligence teams, and external partners including the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

  • Provide recommendations that improve mission clarity and reduce friction

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence, Engineering, National Security, or related field

  • 10+ years of intelligence or mission operations experience

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Direct experience within or supporting DEFSMAC, Space Force, or missile defense intelligence environments

  • Strong understanding of intelligence reporting workflows and operational decision processes

  • Experience operating in highly classified, high-visibility environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with intelligence platforms and databases such as DCGS, MIDB, Palantir, or similar systems

  • Background in space domain awareness, missile warning, or missile defense missions

  • Experience bridging intelligence and operations teams

  • Prior experience supporting joint or national-level decision environments

Why This Role
  • High-impact position influencing how intelligence supports real-world operational decisions

  • Hybrid flexibility in Northern VA or Denver

  • Opportunity to shape how mission data is integrated and used at the strategic level
