Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), RIS (Radiology Information System), and HIPAA compliance is typically required, along with relevant certifications. Professionals in remote radiology workflow often encounter challenges related to communication and collaboration with on-site medical teams, as well as ensuring secure and efficient access to patient data. Building strong virtual teamwork skills and staying updated on the latest digital imaging technologies can also help improve workflow efficiency and patient care outcomes.

What is remote radiology workflow?

Remote radiology workflow refers to the process where radiologists interpret medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, from locations outside the hospital or clinic, often from their homes or remote offices. This workflow leverages digital imaging technology and secure networks to transmit medical images for review and reporting. Remote radiology, also known as teleradiology, improves access to specialist opinions, enables faster turnaround times for reports, and supports healthcare facilities with limited onsite radiology staff. It also requires strict adherence to data security, patient privacy, and regulatory standards.

With a 72-year legacy of excellence, ARA is one of the largest and most established radiology groups in the country, with 118 subspecialized radiologists serving hospitals and outpatient imaging centers across Central Texas. The group is consistently recognized nationally for innovation, physician leadership, and outstanding patient care.

  • Opportunity to join a nationally recognized, physician-led organization

The Opportunity
You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative radiology team supporting a broad clinical footprint across Central Texas and beyond.

  • Collaborate with a strong team of radiologists across subspecialties
  • Contribute to a high-efficiency, high-quality imaging operation
  • Enjoy full flexibility in structuring your clinical workload

About ARA & Dell Medical School Partnership:
