Job description

Our client, a leading academic-affiliated Level 1 Trauma Center specializing in high-volume diagnostic imaging, is hiring a Radiologist (Remote, Evenings). This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced radiologists seeking a flexible, high-impact role that combines sophisticated technology with a collaborative educational environment.

As a key member of the Department of Radiology, you will provide evening teleradiology coverage for a busy 600-bed hospital. Your responsibilities include interpreting a diverse caseload encompassing MRI, CT, general X-rays, trauma X-rays, and ultrasound studies. You will contribute to critical emergency and trauma cases in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses in support of patient care. The position offers approximately 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with shared call responsibilities, making it ideal for work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and report imaging studies including MRI, CT, X-ray, trauma X-ray, and ultrasound.
  • Participate in shift coverage during evening hours, approximately 30 hours weekly.
  • Collaborate with departmental peers and support clinical teams in fast-paced, high-volume trauma environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of findings.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities and uphold imaging standards.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with current Board Certification or eligibility in Radiology.
  • Eligible for or holds a New York State medical license.
  • Proven proficiency in interpreting MRI, CT, and general X-ray images
  • Prior experience in high-volume and trauma imaging environments preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to perform accurately under pressure.
