We are seeking a Locum Tenens Radiology Physician in Elkton, MD.

Shift: Remote; choose from:

  • Swing: 7 days on / 7 days off, Monday–Sunday, 5:00 PM–12:00 AM or 6:00 PM–2:00 AM
  • Overnight: 7 days on / 7 days off, Monday–Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM

End Date: Ongoing
Position Details:

  • Remote-only Diagnostic Radiology position
  • Full-time coverage
  • Approximately 90–100 reads per 8-hour shift
  • Approximately 60–70 wRVUs per 8-hour shift
  • High-productivity ED radiology focus
  • MSK/Neuro reading experience is a plus
  • Must be able to read code-stroke cases
  • Modalities include XR, CT, MR, US, and NM

Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Setting: Remote Diagnostic Radiology
Type of Location: Metropolitan / Urban service area; remote position
Type of Healthcare Facility: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret emergency department, inpatient, outpatient, neuro, and nuclear medicine cases
  • Read approximately 90–100 cases per 8-hour shift
  • Maintain productivity expectations of approximately 70 wRVUs per shift
  • Read assigned cases according to established workflow
  • Provide diagnostic interpretation across required modalities

Required Procedures: No specific procedures required; light image-guided procedures are a potential additional responsibility based on provider skills

EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Remote radiology support team
Days Per Month: Minimum 40 hours per month
On-Call/Weekends: No call; 7-on/7-off schedule includes Monday–Sunday coverage
Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Radiology
  • Maryland license required; provider must be licensed in the state from which they will be reading
  • Must clearly identify modalities the provider can actively read and interpret
  • Preferred shift must be specified at submission
  • NPDB Self-Query Report within the last 6 months
