Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst - Clinical Applications for Nuvodia is a regular, full-time position working M-F daytime hours. This position may include on-call rotation and night and weekend work assignments.

Summary: The Senior Business Analyst - Clinical Applications applies their knowledge of Healthcare and Clinical Applications to administer, demonstrate, implement, train and support various business critical systems of the HealthCare solutions team. This position works to identify and recommend improvements for the clinical applications and workflow. The Senior Business Analyst - Clinical Applications is responsible for implementing and supporting multiple clinical applications for the clients of Nuvodia. The expectation of this position is that the Senior Business Analyst - Clinical Applications will complete the position duties/responsibilities with a moderate level of direct supervision from leadership.

General Description: The Senior Business Analyst will interact with Clinical System Administration, Operations Analysts, Help Desk, and other departments within Nuvodia, its clients, and its vendors. The Senior Business Analyst makes decisions regarding daily work priorities and other decisions based on company policies and procedures. The Senior Business Analyst must be able to work closely with a team of people in accomplishing all tasks.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.   • Daily Responsibilities
    • Provides remote and on-site technical support in a clinical setting, as necessary.
    • Provides escalation technical support to Clinical Analysts.
    • Functions as the Subject Matter Expert in an assigned radiology application.
    • Ensures the PACS, VR and RIS systems are running at optimal performance levels.
    • Follows security guidelines determined by the industry and management.
    • Participates in the Customer Advocacy, Sales and Marketing programs as needed.
    • Maintains appropriate technical documentation necessary for support, training, and analysis.
    • Proactively identifies areas for solution improvement - including workflow, configuration, or back-end or server-based improvements.
    • Other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Project Responsibilities
    • Recommends technical solutions, adjustments, or configurations as requested by Project Managers.
    • Technically leads the implementation or upgrade of solutions, building and executing technical based test plans.
    • Participates in on-site support and training for new customer implementations.
  • Job Knowledge
    • Maintains current and advanced knowledge in Radiology Workflow, Solutions, Modalities, and Integrations. This includes workflow, application end-user functionality, and applicate administrative functionality.
    • Maintains current and thorough knowledge of industry standards and regulations including DICOM, HL7, FHIR, API and HIPAA.
    • Maintains knowledge of IT standards in use at Nuvodia as they relate to solutions architecture, such SQL, Networking, Encryption, Virtual Private Networks, Server Virtualization, Authentication protocols, Active Directory and Windows Server OS.
    • Maintains knowledge and understanding of relevant security technologies to ensure a protected solution environment.
    • Basic knowledge of human anatomy and the types of exams conducted in a radiology department.
  • Schedule Requirements
    • Requires the ability, knowledge, and professionalism to support critical medical applications that demand a 24x7 uptime, which will require flexible work schedules including evenings and weekends.
    • Responsibilities for supporting clinical solutions may extend to non-scheduled work time, where immediate support may be required.
    • Participates in the Radiology Solutions on-call rotation may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in MIS, information science, computer science, business, other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience & Knowledge:
    • Required
      • Five plus years' experience in Radiology Information Technology applications and back-end support which include supporting RIS, PACS, and VR solutions.
      • Five plus years' experience managing or executing IT implementation projects/applications.
      • Fundamental knowledge of medical modalities, image transmission, DICOM standards.
      • Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise, integrated Radiology Applications environments.
  • Desired:
    • Five plus years' experience managing and/or administering Nuvodia's core three Radiology Technology application providers, currently Philips or Mach7, Nuance, and Abbadox.
    • Three years' experience supporting server and/or network infrastructure.
    • Three years' experience supporting cloud SaaS solutions.
    • Fundamental knowledge of human anatomy and exams conducted in a radiology department.
  • Computer Applications: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired:
    • Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio, Publisher)
    • Five plus years of experience with RIS, PACS and Voice Recognition solutions is required.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check
  • Drug Test: Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
