Nuclear Stockpile Stewardship Analyst
The Opportunity:
As an operations analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need a research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. As a member of our strategic deterrence and nuclear integration team, you'll assist in supporting our client's objective to maintain a safe, secure, and effective nuclear deterrent aligned to national defense strategies.
In this role, you'll be responsible for providing insights that enhance leadership decision-making, strengthening interagency cohesion, and preparing the USAF and other related agencies to navigate the evolving global nuclear landscape. You won't go at it alone; you'll be part of a team in performing the analysis and providing policy recommendations regarding nuclear stockpile stewardship and modernization.
Use your academic expertise, professional experience, and understanding of national security policy to help the team ensure our clients are fully prepared to contribute strategically to nuclear weapons management, policy formulation, interagency collaboration, and the broader defense mission.

You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience working professionally in classified environments
  • Experience evaluating nuclear weapon safety, security and effectiveness requirements
  • Experience analyzing nuclear forces posture, modernization programs and strategic capabilities
  • Experience with open-source research
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) concepts
  • Knowledge of U.S. nuclear stockpile lifecycle, modernization efforts and sustainment activities
  • Ability to use tools supporting data analysis, documenting, organizing, and reporting, such as Excel or SharePoint
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, or Mathematics

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting HQ USAF, STRATCOM, AFGSC, NC3, or nuclear C2
  • Knowledge of nuclear weapons physics
  • Possession oftrong written and verbal communication skills tailored for briefing senior stakeholders
  • Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
  • Completion of RSO training
  • Completion of nuclear and radiological training

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
