A remote radiologist can work remotely, as the role primarily involves interpreting medical images using specialized software and secure internet connections. This setup allows for flexible schedules and reduces the need for physical presence in a medical facility.

What is the typical workflow and daily routine for a remote radiologist?

As a Remote Radiologist, your daily routine typically involves receiving and interpreting medical images such as X-rays, CTs, and MRIs through secure online platforms. You will generate detailed diagnostic reports and communicate findings to referring physicians, often via phone or secure messaging systems. Many remote radiologist roles offer flexible scheduling, but fast turnaround times and accuracy remain essential due to the critical nature of patient care.

What is a remote radiologist?

A Remote Radiologist is a medical professional who interprets medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, from a remote location rather than working onsite at a hospital or clinic. They use secure digital platforms to review and diagnose cases, often collaborating with healthcare providers electronically. This role allows for flexible work hours and the ability to provide expert analysis across different geographic regions. Remote radiologists must have the same qualifications and certifications as traditional radiologists, ensuring high standards of patient care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the remote radiologist position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Radiologist, you need strong expertise in diagnostic imaging, comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and pathology, and board certification in radiology. Familiarity with teleradiology platforms, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems), and adherence to all relevant licensing and credentialing requirements are essential. Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail are important soft skills for interpreting images accurately and collaborating with referring physicians. These skills ensure timely, accurate diagnoses and effective remote collaboration, which are critical for patient outcomes in a virtual care setting.

Job description

Join us in pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably.

Our inspiring and caring environment forms a global community that celebrates diversity and individuality. We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering resources and flexibility to foster your professional and personal growth, all while valuing your unique contributions.

Join a Team That's Building What's Next

At Siemens Healthineers, we're transforming the future of Interventional Oncology.

This isn't a traditional sales development representative role. It's an opportunity to help build one of the fastest-growing businesses inside one of the world's most respected healthcare technology companies.

Our team is bringing innovative technologies to physicians treating patients with cancer and other complex diseases. We're expanding our commercial organization, launching new products, entering new markets, and investing heavily in the future.

If you're energized by growth, enjoy building new business, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to make a meaningful impact on patient care, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Sales Development Representative, you will serve to assist the primary commercial leader within your assigned geography, responsible for accelerating growth, expanding customer relationships, and introducing innovative technologies that improve patient care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build new physician, hospital, and health system relationships throughout your territory.

  • Develop new accounts while expanding utilization within existing customers.

  • Execute strategic territory business plans designed to exceed sales objectives.

  • Drive adoption of innovative technologies through clinical expertise, education, and consultative selling.

  • Partner with physicians and healthcare teams to improve procedural outcomes and patient care.

  • Lead product launches and commercial initiatives across your territory.

  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Specialists, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales Operations, and Sales Leadership.

  • Analyze market opportunities, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences before, during, and after every sale.

  • Represent Siemens Healthineers with the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and customer commitment.

  • Travel approximately 40-50% within the assigned territory.

Compensation includes competitive base salary, uncapped incentive compensation, company vehicle, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Who Will Be Successful Here

This role is designed for people who enjoy building businesses-not simply maintaining them.

Our highest-performing Sales Development Representatives tend to be individuals who:

  • Love winning new business.

  • Enjoy introducing new technologies to the market.

  • Take ownership and accountability for results.

  • Move with urgency and purpose.

  • Build trust quickly with physicians and healthcare executives.

  • Thrive in changing, fast-paced environments.

  • Are naturally curious and continuously learning.

  • Remain positive and resilient through challenges.

  • Are highly organized and disciplined.

  • Care deeply about patients, customers, and teammates.

  • Take pride in representing a world-class organization.

Preferred Qualifications

We recognize that exceptional talent comes from many backgrounds.

Candidates may possess experience in Interventional Radiology, Interventional Oncology, Oncology, Vascular, Cardiology, Surgical specialties, or other procedural medical device markets.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Demonstrated success in medical device sales, healthcare sales, or other complex consultative sales environments.

  • Experience selling capital equipment, disposable technologies, or clinically sophisticated products preferred.

  • Proven ability to develop new business while growing existing customer relationships.

  • Strong business acumen and territory planning skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Ability to learn complex clinical technologies and effectively communicate their value to physicians and healthcare executives.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other business productivity tools.

While prior Interventional Oncology experience is valuable, we are equally interested in high-performing sales professionals who have consistently demonstrated the ability to build business, launch new products, and succeed in complex healthcare environments.

Why Siemens Healthineers?

Joining our team means becoming part of one of the world's most respected healthcare technology organizations while helping shape the future of Interventional Oncology.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Represent industry-leading technologies that improve patient outcomes.

  • Help launch innovative products into growing markets.

  • Work alongside experienced commercial and clinical leaders committed to your success.

  • Build long-term relationships with leading physicians and health systems.

  • Grow your career within a global healthcare leader.

  • Make a meaningful impact on patients while helping build the future of our business.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to satisfy all customer vendor credentialing requirements, including immunizations, background screening, and site-specific access requirements.

  • Completion of all required company compliance, product, and clinical training programs.

  • This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. To be eligible for employment, applicants must hold a valid driver's license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
