The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering roles, including system integration, verification testing, and circuit/cable/harness design for rugged military environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate design performance, troubleshoot issues, and support deployment of mission-critical defense systems. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties Include:

  • Develop and control the programs top-level electrical design approach, including power architecture, interconnect strategy, grounding/bonding, signal integrity, interfaces.
  • Lead electro-mechanical integration, and subsystem electrical allocations.
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of PCBs and FPGA-based systems ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget
  • Partner closely with systems, mechanical, software, test, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure the electrical design is not developed in isolation, but is fully aligned to packaging, thermal, timing, controls, ordnance interface, and mission performance constraints.
  • Participate in failure analysis, root cause determination, and corrective actions.
  • Design and review cable and harness assemblies for use in military systems, including proper shielding, grounding, and connector selection.
  • Support and optimize engineering processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
  • Drive development of electrical requirements, interface definitions, schematics, cable/harness designs, ICDs, and design standards, ensuring full traceability from mission need to implementation and verification
  • Act as a key advisor on electronic design and system integration challenges.
  • Familiarity with lab test environment and equipment such as, but not limited to DMMs, oscilloscopes, function/pulse generators, power supplies and spectrum analyzers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • At least 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering roles supporting DoW or aerospace systems.
  • Proficiency with NFPA 70/NEC, ASME Y14.100 and generating detailed documentation of cable assemblies and electromechanical equipment, including test set and breakout boxes.
  • Demonstrated experience with verification testing to MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-810, and similar specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with system integration and test at the platform or subsystem level.
  • Working knowledge of circuit, cable, and harness design, including familiarity with drawings, wire selection, shielding, military connectors, circuit theory, signal processing, and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in test instrumentation, data acquisition, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Altium, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite and Document Management Systems (EDMS)
