The Role

We are looking to expand our team with a Digital IC Designer with experiences in the development of digital subsystems and embedded MCU/DSP for our mixed-signal products.

What You'll Do

  • Low power integrated circuit design and verification using System Verilog/VHDL. 
  • Conduct feasibility of new products and the development of chip specification based on customer and marketing requirements.
  • Evaluation and characterization of integrated circuits in a lab environment with preference for ability to script tests for automation. 
  • Support of internal and external test development activities as well as pattern generation for production tests. 
  • Preparation of technical reviews and product documentations.

QUALIFICATIONS

What You'll Need

  • Minimum a Bachelor degree in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent. 
  • 5-10 years of direct design experience in industry pertaining to Digital IC design and development. 
  • A proven track record of successful digital IC designs from concept to working products.

What Else You May Bring 

  • Experience with simulation environment including gate level and RTL simulation, verification/code coverage, code linting.
  • Exposure to DSP, microcontrollers and programming in C. 
  • Ability to automate verification and design tasks with Python or TCL. 
  • Experience with FPGA will be an asset.
  • Experience with SDC constraints will be an asset.
  • Experience with UPF methodology will be an asset.
  • Experience with CAD tool expertise including logic synthesis, STA, DFT/ATPG, Logic Equivalency Checking will be an asset.
  • Experience in P&R will be an asset. 
  • Expertise in instrumentation and measurement methodologies. 
  • Ability to operate as digital lead designer for complex digital/mixed-signal chips. 
  • Ability to work with analog designers and to collaborate with remote cross-functional teams. 
  • Self-motivated individual, innovative, confident, thorough and team oriented. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $77,000.00 to $115,000.00 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
