Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager - Minka is responsible for driving revenue growth across a defined territory by developing key accounts and leading independent sales agencies. This role focuses on expanding market share within Ferguson Enterprise, lighting showrooms, builders, electrical distributors and projects, while ensuring strong brand presence and execution in the region.
This is a remote role that will support the Central Region of the US. Our ideal candidate would located in one of the major hubs in the Region like Dallas, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee or Indianapolis. Will consider other locations for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Sales Execution
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets within Minka Lighting and Aire- lead budget and business planning for region
  • Own relationships with targeted key accounts, including Ferguson to ensure desired results within region
  • Identify and close new business opportunities with Ferguson, independent showrooms, builders, project houses
  • Drive specification and project-based sales across commercial and residential segments, maintaining a strong sales pipeline and quoting log
  • Provide detailed reports/insights on key accounts and sales forecasts. Share forward looking (monthly and quarterly) insights into region and business

Account Management
  • Manage and strengthen downstream relationships with key lighting showrooms and distribution partners through established sales plans, execution and formal reviews
  • Partner closely with Ferguson OPCO Sales Managers and Own Brand business leaders to drive alignment, growth and execution within the region
  • Partner with builders and developers to secure product specifications in new construction and renovation projects
  • Build long-term relationships with interior designers through showroom partners to drive specification pull-through
  • Negotiate pricing, programs, and contracts to enhance profitability and market penetration
  • Engage Sales Support Team on opportunities to drive growth, engagement, reporting and overall customer satisfaction within portfolio

Sales Agency Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and support independent lighting sales agencies within the region, partnering closely to target and win new business
  • Establish clear sales goals, KPIs, and territory plans aligned with company objectives
  • Conduct regular field visits, joint sales calls, and monthly/quarterly/yearly performance reviews with agency partners
  • Provide product training, merchandising guidance, and strategic direction to ensure brand consistency
  • Evaluate agency performance and make recommendations for optimization or changes as needed

Market Development
  • Expand brand presence & market share within lighting showrooms through merchandising, displays, and staff training, including placement of new product displays released at each Lightovation market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Channel Marketing and internal teams to implement channel strategies and objectives
  • Increase specification activity by engaging the A&D (Architecture & Design) community
  • Identify and develop opportunities within builder and multi-family segments
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies within the lighting industry, engaging product team with market needs/gaps

Project & Specification Management
  • Track and manage project pipelines from specification through order fulfillment
  • Communicate with demand team on product needs to ensure meeting project timing expectations
  • Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to ensure timely follow-up on project opportunities
  • Support value engineering and product selection to meet project requirements and budgets
  • Understand pricing & gross margin ramifications in region, managing within corporate guidelines throughout project quoting process

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with marketing/channel manager on showroom programs, product launches, and promotional initiatives
  • Provide field insights to product development teams based on customer and market feedback
  • Provide various sales and management reports as required
  • Assist customer service in providing information, post-sales support, and technical expertise to customers and representatives

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the lighting, electrical, or building products industry
  • In-depth experience driving sales growth and business plan execution through rep agency partners.
  • Proven success in managing territories and achieving revenue targets
  • Experience working with Ferguson, lighting showrooms, sales agencies, and specification-driven sales
  • Established relationships within the builder, contractor, or designer community preferred
  • Strong understanding of project-based and channel sales dynamics
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
  • Deep understanding of lighting channels (showroom, specification, and builder)
  • Agency leadership and channel management
  • Sales approach centered on building strong connections
  • Deep understanding of Ferguson business platform

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
$7,949.70 - $17,325.00
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
