Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Remote
Compensation: ~$110-130K base + ~10% bonus
Position OverviewHigh-impact, hands-on accounting leadership role within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. This position plays a critical role in driving accounting compliance, internal controls, audit readiness, and operational effectiveness across the organization.
This is a highly visible role requiring a roll up your sleeves mindset-ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys solving complex problems with limited structure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and maintain accounting compliance and internal control frameworks
- Oversee and support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage and coordinate the annual external audit process
- Drive process improvements, automation, and scalability initiatives
- Support and/or lead ERP enhancements and system implementations (NetSuite or similar)
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, including inventory and field teams
- Support inventory controls and cycle counts, including occasional travel if needed
- Assist with M&A integration, process design, and ad hoc accounting initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, including use of automation tools
- Serve as a go-to resource for gaps across the accounting function in a lean team
Qualifications- ~8+ years of progressive accounting experience (corporate accounting, compliance, audit)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Month-end close processes
- Financial reporting
- Internal controls
- Audit management
- Prior audit experience (public accounting or industry) required
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Proven ability to manage projects (audit, ERP, process improvements)
- Experience in inventory-heavy, logistics, or fulfillment environments preferred
- Background in startup or high-growth environments strongly preferred
