Job Summary

As a Financial Analyst – FP&A, your performance and contribution will achieve the following goals and objectives:
•         Increase efficiency and profitability: You will work closely with senior leadership to increase the firm’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan.
•         Financial analysis and management reporting: You will conduct financial statement and general ledger analysis, including variance to forecast and prior year, overseeing design, preparation and review of ongoing and ad hoc management reports.
Lead business decision making: Your financial analysis of data will impact senior leadership in making profitable business decisions

Minimum Qualifications

•      Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Business Administration.
•      A minimum of 2 years job-related experience.
•      List any specialized training or unique skills required:
•      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, seeks big picture answers beyond immediate scope.
•      Experience managing & taking ownership of financial models.
•      Fundamental knowledge of accounting and financial processes and reporting.
•      Fundamental knowledge of SAP.
•      Demonstrated ability to work in an extremely complex, dynamic and fast-paced team environment
•      Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
•       Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•      Background in a quantitative discipline, such as finance, economics, math, or engineering.
 
Preferred:
•   Experience in Power Platform Apps and Right Angle preferred.
•   Proficiency/prior experience with energy trading and risk management (ETRM) software platform preferred.

Job Duties

1.           Business decision support: Work with various areas of the business to provide high quality advice on financial impacts through exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
2.           Planning & forecasting: Responsible for tracking CITGO’s financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and help senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports.
3.           Management reporting:  Coordinate economic and financial profitability reconciliation reporting and commentary for the Commercial businesses with input from the Risk, Finance, and the underlying Commercial businesses to develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for presentation to Management.
4.           Business analytics: Use key relationships, and knowledge of business strategy, trends and key events to support new opportunities to improve business analytics, and performance management tools.
5.           Scenario modeling: Maintain and improve the actual model structure, testing process and implementation of the information model, and determines the best model delivery (i.e., using Power BI or MS Excel, etc.). Also creates the documentation for implementation of the models and the procedures on how to maintain the information models.
6.           Cross-division FPA: Cross- train in supply and trading FPA to ensure knowledge of best practices, enhance innovation and exhibit creativity in the identifying new solutions to difficult problems.
7.           Special projects: Support other initiatives and special projects as directed by the FP&A Management team.
