Job description

At Envirogen Technologies, we deliver advanced water solutions as a premier Lifecycle Performance Company. We are seeking a high-calibre Process Engineer to join our core engineering team at our headquarters in Kingwood (North Houston), TX-though for highly accomplished professionals, flexible hybrid or remote working arrangements will be fully considered.

This critical role offers an exceptional opportunity to spearhead the end-to-end lifecycle of multi-million-dollar industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, transitioning seamlessly from high-level conceptual design to impactful field deployment.

We value entrepreneurial execution, offering a uniquely flat structure where exceptional performance translates directly into accelerated professional development. For an ambitious engineer, this represents an unparalleled launchpad to deploy your expertise, drive visible industrial outcomes, and grow exponentially alongside our expanding North American footprint.

Why You'll Thrive at Envirogen

  • Exceptional Total Rewards: We offer a highly competitive base salary complemented by a comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement benefits package, alongside an impactful, performance-driven Project Incentive Plan that directly rewards your engineering successes.
  • Seamless Relocation Support: To ensure we attract elite talent, we provide a full, premium relocation assistance package to establish you in the vibrant Kingwood or North Houston area.
  • An Elite, Flat Culture: Work alongside leading industry experts in a collaborative, un-siloed environment that actively rejects bureaucratic layers. Here, your technical voice is empowered, and your individual contributions directly shape project outcomes.
  • Global Project Horizons: Expand your engineering mastery and leadership footprint by delivering on exciting, technologically diverse industrial water and wastewater systems across North America and key international markets

Core Responsibilities

Architect Advanced System Designs: Spearhead the end-to-end conceptual and detailed design of full-scale treatment infrastructure. You will generate complex process calculations, mass balances, PFDs, and P&IDs, collaborating closely with the wider engineering team to deliver optimized, value-engineered solutions that exceed client expectations.

Drive Applied R&D & Innovation: Formulate strategic testing frameworks, lead advanced laboratory bench- and pilot-scale evaluations, and interpret complex data matrices to validate cutting-edge designs and accelerate the commercialization of proprietary technologies.

Spearhead Field Deployment & Commissioning: Transition from theory to execution by directing on-site system startups, establishing rigorous operational sampling protocols, and delivering expert-level technical training to client engineering and operations teams across the region.

Deliver Strategic Financial Governance: Partner directly with the executive leadership team to evaluate capital equipment budgets, conduct rigorous value engineering assessments, and vet the commercial and financial feasibility of emerging water treatment technologies.

Optimize Live Industrial Assets: Serve as the definitive technical authority on troubleshooting; analyze real-time operational metrics and field data to diagnose complex system anomalies and maximize the efficiency of live industrial facilities.

Requirements

Professional Qualifications

  • Academic Foundation: A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Chemical, Environmental, Process engineering), backed by a strong foundation water systems.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in the conceptual design, operational optimization, or commissioning of complex industrial water and/or wastewater treatment processes.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Exceptional autonomy and communication skills, with a proven ability to interface seamlessly as a technical authority with clients, project managers, and executive sales teams.
  • Mobility & Deployment: Readily adaptable and willing to travel up to 25% across North America to oversee critical project deployments, commissioning phases, and field operations.

Preferred Technical Assets

  • Process Mastery: Deep technical command of diverse physical, chemical, and biological water treatment mechanisms.
  • Analytical Diagnostic Expertise: Advanced capability in diagnosing and characterizing highly variable industrial influent water streams to engineer robust, resilient solutions.
