Job description

The Performance and Quality Assurance Manager implements policies and selects methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for the team tasked with debugging software products and using systematic tests for the development, application and maintenance of quality standards for firm products. The incumbent develops, modifies and executes company policies and procedures to ensure software products are working properly, reliable and meet business requirements. They drive the strategy and success of large projects to ensure optimal performance, reliability and scalability of software applications and systems.    

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our Cleveland Headquarters office.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the information technology (IT) field. In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of experience in IT
  • 7+ years of experience in IT  
  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status 
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Preferred:

  • Experience in quality engineering or performance engineering  
  • Experience overseeing manual and automated testing strategies across multiple applications and platforms
  • Experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies to drive efficient and scalable quality processes
  • Experience establishing QA best practices, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to implement quality and testing standards throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with performance testing and quality engineering tools in Agile and DevOps environments

Leadership & Supervision

  • Tactical decision-maker, Handles unforeseen issues.
  • Manages activities of two or more disciplines or a department.  Oversees experienced level professionals and/or may be responsible for subordinate managers.
  • Frequently advises team(s) on moderately complex matters.
  • Responsible for supporting the talent strategy through hiring, onboarding, learning & development, performance, succession planning, engagement, recognition, and inclusion, diversity, and equity practices.
  • Responsible for fostering a work environment that encourages employees to act with integrity and respect.
  • Responsible for setting employee objectives and expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing meaningful feedback, and mentorship.
  • Responsible for supporting employee career development.
  • Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.

  • Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates.
  • Develops, modifies and executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
  • Accountable for department budget which may be broad and have far-reaching impact on the business segment.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.  Problems are not clearly defined and lack strategic direction.
  • Implements policies and selects methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Drives the strategy and success of larger projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization.
