Role: QA Engineer

Location: Hybrid / Remote / Flexible
Reports To: QA Manager
Job Type: Full-Time

The QA Engineer works closely with business stakeholders, product specialists, QA leadership, and software engineers to understand requirements, develop test plans, execute functional and regression tests, and identify defects before release. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to design and implement a test automation framework that will be used by other QA engineers as the QA team grows.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Work with business stakeholders, product specialists, and software engineers to understand business processes and software functionality.
  • Analyze requirements and user stories to identify comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Create test plans based on requirements, user stories, and existing application functionality.
  • Write functional, system, integration, and regression tests using a test management platform.
  • Create, organize, and execute test sets in the test management system to ensure full coverage based on release parameters.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect tracking system, and work with software engineers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain an automated test framework and test scripts to increase test coverage and release confidence.
  • Identify ways to incorporate AI into the QA process to enhance efficiency, test coverage, and defect detection.
  • Collaborate with the QA manager and other stakeholders to implement and improve QA processes.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of manual QA and test automation experience.
  • Experience with test management systems such as Quality Center, Tuskr, SpiraTest, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to investigate possible causes of a defect before submitting it.
  • Strong test automation skills using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong technical testing skills, including API testing, SQL query authoring, error log analysis, and the ability to hold technical conversations with software engineers.
  • Google Cloud and Django experience is a plus.
