About the Role

Equitable is looking for a Senior Business Systems Technical Analyst to join our Wealth Management Compensation team. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, supporting critical compensation and administrative systems, managing technical projects, and delivering reporting and process improvements across operational workflows. The ideal candidate brings experience with the GDC compensation system, established SQL and project management capabilities, intermediate Power BI skills, and the ability to build interim technical solutions using Python and other coding methodologies.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform business analysis to identify process gaps, system issues, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support and maintain administrative systems that process through the Monaco system, ensuring continuity for critical business operations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the GDC compensation system to support business processes, troubleshooting, reporting, and enhancements.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data for operational and reporting needs.
  • Manage technical and cross-functional projects from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, and post-launch support.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and reporting solutions to meet business and operational requirements.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Develop interim process solutions using Python, Power BI, and other coding methodologies to address business needs and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to document requirements, track deliverables, and support process standardization.
  • Monitor system and reporting performance, resolve issues, and recommend enhancements to improve reliability and usability.

This position offers a flexible work schedule: it may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near one of our offices (e.g., Charlotte, NC; Syracuse, NY), a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.
The base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $120,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in business analysis within a technical or operations-focused environment.
  • Hands-on experience with the GDC compensation system.
  • Established SQL experience, including data extraction, validation, and analysis.
  • Project management experience with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Intermediate Power BI skills for dashboard creation, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Experience supporting business-critical administrative systems and operational processes.
  • Demonstrated report design and maintenance skills.
  • Experience creating interim or automated solutions using Python and other coding methodologies.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
