You will lead the design and implementation of backend systems, data pipelines, and AI/ML integrations while collaborating closely with product, data, and leadership teams. This is a hands‑on leadership role with significant autonomy and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend services, APIs, and data‑driven systems

  • Architect and implement scalable data pipelines, integrations, and storage solutions

  • Build and maintain high‑performance services using TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, and at least one of Python, Go, or Rust

  • Collaborate with product and data teams to define technical requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions

  • Integrate AI/ML models into production systems, ensuring reliability and performance

  • Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and documentation processes

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence

  • Participate in roadmap planning, architectural decisions, and long‑term platform strategy

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with at least one of: Python, Go, or Rust

  • Hands‑on experience building and maintaining data pipelines or distributed systems

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and integrating models into production environments

  • Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and performance optimization

  • Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑ownership environments

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Preferred Experience (Nice‑to‑Have)

  • Background in fintech, governance systems, or data‑heavy platforms

  • Familiarity with cloud‑native infrastructure and DevOps practices

  • Experience leading small engineering teams or mentoring developers

Soft Skills
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate autonomously

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapidly evolving requirements

  • Collaborative, transparent, and proactive communicator

  • Ability to balance speed with technical rigor

  • Curiosity and willingness to explore new technologies and approaches

Why This Role Stands Out
  • High‑impact engineering leadership role

  • Opportunity to shape architecture and technical direction

  • Work with cutting‑edge AI/ML technologies

  • Fully remote flexibility

  • Mission‑driven environment with complex, meaningful challenges
