Your Role as a Senior Front-End Developer:

The Senior Front-End Developer leads the design, development, and evolution of scalable web applications with a focus on Angular and modern frontend architecture. This role combines deep technical expertise with mentorship and technical leadership, driving engineering standards, application performance, and user experience across products. Working closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams, the Senior Front-End Developer influences architectural decisions, delivers high-quality solutions, and helps shape the future of frontend development at SofterWare.


Key Responsibilities:

Frontend Development & Technical Leadership

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable frontend applications using Angular as the primary framework
  • Lead implementation of high-quality, maintainable, and performant frontend solutions using TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Translate business, product, and design requirements into intuitive and technically sound user experiences
  • Drive frontend best practices around architecture, code organization, maintainability, and performance optimization
  • Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on frontend implementation strategies
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive behavior, and accessibility compliance across applications
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level frontend developers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance

Architecture & Code Quality

  • Define and evolve frontend architecture patterns, reusable component strategies, and shared libraries
  • Lead efforts to improve application performance, bundle optimization, rendering efficiency, and scalability
  • Establish and enforce frontend engineering standards, testing strategies, and development workflows
  • Conduct thorough pull request reviews and provide actionable technical feedback
  • Collaborate on state management strategies, modular application design, and frontend infrastructure improvements
  • Evaluate and recommend frontend tooling, frameworks, and modernization opportunities

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Partner closely with Product Management, UX/UI Design, Backend Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver cohesive product solutions
  • Lead frontend planning and estimation activities within Agile development processes
  • Drive successful delivery of frontend initiatives from planning through production release
  • Communicate technical concepts and tradeoffs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Help coordinate frontend work across multiple initiatives and teams when necessary
  • Identify delivery risks and proactively propose mitigation strategies

Testing & Reliability

  • Lead implementation and maintenance of robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
  • Drive improvements in frontend reliability, monitoring, debugging, and incident response practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Monitor application health and frontend telemetry using tools such as NewRelic and related monitoring platforms
  • Collaborate with QA and Product teams to ensure high-quality releases and stable user experiences

Continuous Improvement & Mentorship

  • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, Angular ecosystem advancements, and industry best practices
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling, development workflows, engineering standards, and developer experience
  • Mentor engineers through technical coaching, knowledge sharing, and career development support
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engineering excellence within the frontend team
  • Contribute to hiring processes, technical evaluations, and onboarding efforts when needed

  • Advanced expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development

    • State management approaches (NgRx, RxJS, Signals, or similar)
    • Asynchronous programming and reactive programming concepts
    • HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility best practices
    • Frontend application performance optimization techniques
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership through coaching, code reviews, and best practices
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Webpack, Vite, Angular CLI, or modern build tooling optimization
  • Strong experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and modern CI/CD workflows
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend development practices
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts, risks, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, and Backend Engineering
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and driving continuous improvement in engineering processes and standards
  • Commitment to code quality, testing, maintainability, and engineering excellence
  • Understanding of frontend security best practices and secure coding principles


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Angular in production environments
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments
  • Experience in architecting scalable frontend applications and reusable component systems
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives
  • Experience working in SaaS or product-driven organizations preferred
  • Familiarity with .NET backend ecosystems and cross-functional product development is preferred


Compensation

This full-time, remote position offers a total compensation range of $130,000-$145,000 USD, depending on your experience and skills. Our compensation package is designed to recognize your contributions, reward outstanding performance, and support your long-term growth.

Total Compensation includes:
