Position Title: Power Platform Innovator

Location: Remote (Warner Robins AFB, GA, United States) - approximately 95% remote with occasional travel for client support

Position Summary

Teksouth is seeking a Power Platform Innovator interested in continued growth in the emerging technology of Microsoft Power Platform product solutions. This position is responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of Model-Driven and Canvas Power Apps, using Microsoft Dataverse as the primary underlying data source. When low-code development is not possible, you will also support the development of pro-code components for the last development mile.

In this role, you will actively communicate and collaborate directly with customers and internal team members to convert legacy business flows and define and accomplish associated tasks in Azure DevOps. This position requires an agile, self-motivated individual who can conduct research, apply best practices, and implement discrete elements of multiple tools and programming languages into the Power Platform framework.

Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and implement Model-Driven and Canvas Power Apps using Microsoft Dataverse as a primary data source.
  • Support low-code Power Platform development and pro-code component development when needed to complete solution requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate directly with customers and internal team members to convert legacy business flows into Power Platform solutions.
  • Define, organize, and accomplish associated development tasks in Azure DevOps.
  • Analyze customer needs, troubleshoot technical issues, recommend solutions, and apply best practices across Power Platform products.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple organizations while managing diverse tasks, requirements, and commitments.
  • Conduct research and implement elements of multiple tools and programming languages into the Power Platform framework.
  • Support occasional travel for client support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required. Labor category experience expectations include 4 years with an MS/MA, 6 years with a BS/BA, or 10 years with no degree.
  • Secret security clearance or ability to reactivate.
  • Low-code business application development experience in Microsoft Power Apps, specifically Model-Driven Apps.
  • Foundational database concepts or practical use of any database tool, such as Dataverse, MS Access, Azure DB, SQL Server, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with some or all of the following technologies in a professional or academic environment: SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Fabric, Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge of at least one programming, functional, and/or query language, such as Power FX, PQFL, SQL, C#, DAX, VBA, Python, or similar languages.
  • Ability to acquire the Power Platform Fundamentals Microsoft Certification within 90 days of hiring.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions.
  • Possess a customer-centric attitude with excellent communication skills, strong personal integrity, and teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple organizations while managing diverse tasks, requirements, and commitments.
  • Ongoing commitment to learning the latest innovations, both via formal training and self-guided research.
Preferred Qualifications
  • DoD Financial Management fundamentals highly beneficial.
  • Azure DevOps experience, including planning, building, testing, and deploying solutions.
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), YAML, and/or deployment pipelines.
  • Power App Component Framework (PCF) object experience.
  • GitHub experience.
  • Power BI Project (PBIP) repository experience.
  • Custom API development.
  • Service account and service principal management.
  • Dataverse security role management and concepts.
  • Software development experience, such as ASP, .NET, Java, or similar technologies.
  • General web technology experience, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
  • Ability to create custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Knowledge of leveraging management toolsets to control access, security, and governance.
  • An eye for clean, easy-to-use UI/UX implementations.
